Right now it seems that nearly every SME business marketing article is talking about ChatGPT and the other AI tools. Most writers seem to focus on the quick and easy ability to create content that these tools appear to offer.
This ease of creation then sparks a sense of fear and dread into the reader:
“hang on, I don’t create enough content and now my competitors can create even more – I’m doomed…”
But I don’t think you should be worrying.
Here’s why you can ignore ChatGPT and the rest!
In fact, I think you should be celebrating. And you definitely should not be rushing to create a ChatGPT account anytime soon (well you should, but not for creating blog content – more on this topic elsewhere on the blog).
Celebrating because your competitors will be rushing to turn out second rate content that doesn’t actually relate to them and their business.
Celebrating as you decide to take the blogging high ground and start writing your own content, from the heart. Because that’s something that ChatGPT can’t do. It can’t capture your imagination, your passion and your drive.
It can’t convey those emotions in a blog post – and let’s face it, people buy from people, not from AI.
Why you can ignore ChatGPT and the rest!
So, stop worrying about ChatGPT and other AI tools for content creation, just start writing, write about your visions, your goals, how you help your customers to overcome whatever pain points they have.
That’s the sort of content you should be creating.
But, just in case you want to explore how to get great content from AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT etc.
I recommend that you take a look at the excellent The Sandwich Shop of Prompting: Prompt Engineering to Unlock AI’s Full Potential by Rob May It’s a great introduction into how to create AI prompts that will help you to get the most out of the platform that you are using.
